African Kuba Cloth: Fabulous neutral colors! Natural with a grayish bark brown color design. This rare Ngongo tie dyed/stitch resist raffia Is a lighter weight than the other Kuba cloths in my shop because there is no appliqué. Instead, a tie-dye and resist technique creates the patterned decoration. This is a lovely and collectible African textile.
All hand made and one-of-a-kind. This kuba cloth has one small thin spot shown in photo closeup. Otherwise this textile is in very good vintage condition.
These hand made raffia textiles are excellent accents for mid-century modern decor, Junglalow style decor, or a Global/African-themed space. This size is grand enough to use on a table, hang on a wall as a headboard or wall art, or make into pillow covers. Kuba textiles come from the Congo.
