Tote, book bag. Back to school gift. Boho or hipster tote that's one-of-a-kind made in a patchwork design of vintage African indigo and hemp hill tribe fabric from Asia. Great accessory for daily use or a casual day at the farmer's market.
I made this unique tote in my studio in California. I have pieced together small remnants of vintage textiles to a modern-art-like pattern on the front of this bag. The front is a combination of vintage hemp from a 1000-pleat hill tribe skirt and classic African indigo mud cloth.
Exterior pocket for easy storage.
Back of this bag is 100% vintage African indigo mud cloth. Fused with an interlining for extra stability.
Interior lining is a lightweight denim that’s 100% cotton. interior pocket will fit a cell phone, note pad, etc.

Shoulder straps approx. 28 inches total length.
*As with many vintage fabrics these handmade textiles have imperfections, slubs, and aging, but that’s what gives them charm.
