Vintage African fabric woven from cotton with blue silk decorative topstitching. Note that three of the panels have a different grey/green for the accent threads. This is a lovely example of a neutral color vintage Aso Oke textile from Yoruba, Africa. This piece is in very good vintage condition making it a great piece for a collector or interior designer. This unique fabric is made from several narrow strips of cloth sewn together to make one wide cloth.
Measures 73 inches long x 48 inches wide .
This statement fabric is made from natural flax color cotton and accent yarns in a contrasting shade of blue. This well crafted piece of African Aso Oke cloth would work well as pillow covers, quilting, or used at the foot of a bed. Crisp hand but not too heavy. Good medium weight. Hand-loomed in Africa and one-of-a-kind.
As with many vintage textiles that have been in use, this African cloth has some wear-n-tear. The fabric is textural to the touch. Not at all thread-bare. Please examine photos for wear, small discolorations.
