African mud cloth throw, Vintage African Baule cloth: Make pillows or use for apparel or home decor throw. Classic indigo blue with soft white ikat pattern with soft white fringe. Novelty embroidery details in bright color threads.
This vintage fabric comes from Cote d'Ivoire, (Ivory Coast of Africa).
Hand crafted cotton and each is one-of-a-kind. Both length ends have softer hand made fringe details.
I have gentle-washed with a delicate textile soap so it's ready for use.
***As with many vintage textiles that have been in use, this African baule cloth has light wear-n-tear but overall good vintage condition. The fabric has a soft hand.
***some of the seams may separate due to the construction of this strip cloth. This is considered normal for these vintage textiles and this cloth is priced accordingly.
